New ConnecT WiFi and 4G LTE extender gives drivers and owners connectivity anywhere

BURLINGTON, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2018)— Winegard, the leading U.S. residential, mobile and commercial antenna developer, today announced its product lineup for exhibition at the AM Best Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sept. 6th. The company's experts and product display can be found at booth #309.

The ConnecT family of products, launches the Winegard brand into the next generation of video, voice and data connectivity for truck drivers, fleet owners and manufacturers. The ConnecT creates a hotspot and maximizes speed, reliability and range from both WiFi and 4G LTE networks, ensuring customers can stay connected to the Internet via their smartphones, laptops, media players and other devices.

Designed specifically for the mobile environment, the Winegard ConnecT WiFi Extender is a long-range, high-performance WiFi extender that increases the range of accessible WiFi hotspots, well beyond the range of a typical smart device. The product uses its multiple, built-in smart antennas to scan and connect to WiFi signals, rebroadcasting them in and around the truck.

The ConnecT WiFi + 4G LTE Extender model can also connect to nationwide 4G LTE when WiFi is not available. The device’s antennas are high-performance LTE antennas are stronger than most and can get a signal even from poor coverage areas. The extra coverage gotten with the ConnecT ensures reliable, uninterrupted, in-motion and stationary coverage. This way, users can stay linked to family, friends, web content and entertainment while on the road.

This model is now certified with AT&T and Verizon as a 4G LTE mobile hotspot, and truck drivers can either add it to their new or existing data plan by simply swapping out the included SIM card or choose Winegard ConnecT’s data plan, which features no-contract, 30-day plans with no data throttling, so users only pay for the time it’s being used.

No matter where in the U.S., drivers can easily find the TV towers and the satellites by downloading Winegard’s Signal Finder app from Google® Play or Apple®.

In addition to ConnecT, Winegard is featuring several other products:

  • Pathway X1: Exclusively for DISH, this 100% automatic antenna self-installs quickly, by running through the DISH receiver menu and the new DISH system setup. The Pathway X1 supports 2 receivers for watching favorite programs on two TVs and is powered through the coax cable. Drivers can choose from four different mounting options (rear cab, roof, tripod or window).
  • DuraSAT D4: For a more permanent option, the Winegard DuraSAT D4 in-motion automatic satellite antenna has the ability to mount on the rear or roof of the tractor and delivers DISH, DIRECTV, and BellTV programming. Great for team driving or recording shows while traveling. The DuraSAT D4 allows the off duty team driver to watch live satellite TV while traveling down the road. Before hitting the road, drivers can record shows that are playing while you drive so you can watch them later. This product is engineered to survive over 600,000 miles of vibration and harsh environmental conditions.
  • Rayzar: Winegard's Rayzar digital HDTV antenna lineup is a must have item for drivers who want to enjoy local news and weather anytime, anywhere without paying for a subscription. Winegard offers two models in the Rayzar family. The Rayzar Micro and Rayzar Amplified are both capable of receiving H-VHF and UHF signal from up to 30 miles and 50 miles away, respectively.
