BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 14, 2015) — Winegard, a pioneer in antenna design and development, honors four of its carriers for their excellent service and commitment in 2014. The Burlington-based company presented Black Horse Carriers, FedEx Freight, Heartland Express, and UPS with the Carrier of the Year awards in the following categories:

  • Dedicated Logistics Partner of the Year – Black Horse Carriers
  • Less Than Truckload Carrier of the Year – FedEx Freight
  • Truckload Carrier of the Year – Heartland Express
  • Small Package Carrier of the Year - UPS

Each year, Winegard reviews and selects its carriers based on specific criteria. First, each carrier is ranked on its ability to provide exceptional on time service with both pickup and delivery. Also, each company must demonstrate accurate billing and fast turnaround for claims. Finally, Winegard assesses the carrier’s overall responsiveness and capacity.

"Winegard’s experiences with Black Horse Carriers, FedEx Freight, Heartland Express, and UPS have been flawless, and we commend the drivers, operations team, and sales executives for their hard work. It’s truly a team effort, and this is our way of extending our gratitude,” says Brad Larson, Transportation/Logistics Manager of Winegard. “These carriers have raised the bar, and they serve as great examples of well-run companies who stand by their commitment to excellence."
