New Design Reduces Rack Mount Spaces Needed from 3 to 2

BURLINGTON, Iowa – (Oct. 30, 2012) – Antenna designer and pioneer, Winegard, today introduced a new VSAT Integrated controller that neatly stores an iDirect Evolution® X5 or iDirect iNFINITI® 3000 modem inside the controller housing.

"Many of our customers use iDirect modems and providing a space inside the controller housing to place the modem eliminates the need for an additional rack space, providing an organized, streamlined system that takes up less space," explained Curt Schmidgall International Product Manager at Winegard. “This Integrated controller features single-button operation, with no need for an external PC or a technician.”

Other popular VSAT platforms also are compatible with the new controller, including HughesNet™, Spacenet®, Comtech® and Nera, minus the integrated feature of storing the modem inside the IDU casing.

The new Integrated Controller is completely universal and backward compatible with all other Winegard VSAT antenna systems. It comes equipped with built-in DVB (digital video broadcasting) receivers and GPS.

The Integrated controller holds CE certification for international use. Winegard VSAT antenna systems and controllers are operational worldwide, including the countries of United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Russia, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Scotland and Columbia.

Winegard will be introducing the new controller at the OilComm Show held in Houston, Texas Nov. 6 – 8. To learn more about the new Winegard Integrated Controller, visit www.winegard.com/vsat or contact Winegard VSAT customer service at 866-565-7974.
