Free, quick and painless way to find correct elevation in seconds

BURLINGTON, Iowa – (March 12, 2013) – Innovative TV antenna pioneer Winegard today introduced a free mobile app that makes it fast and simple to set the elevation on its Carryout® Anser® portable satellite TV antenna. Anser, the newest member of the Carryout family of portable antennas, sports a one-of-a-kind design and is ideal for RVs, tailgating, picnicking, family outings and other outdoor activities.

“The new Anser app allows antenna owners to use the GPS on their smart phones to set the satellite elevation through a simple three-step process,” said Aaron Engberg, Director of Mobile Products for Winegard.

“Using this app, Anser users can typically produce the antenna elevation in less than 15 seconds and can be watching TV in minutes. We developed this app to enhance the mobile Anser experience when watching TV on the DIRECTV, Dish or BellTV satellite networks. It also lets you find the nearest Winegard dealer.”

Anser customers can find the elevation in three easy steps when they activate the app:
1. Select Elevation Guide
2. Select the Service Provider
3. Select the target satellite

At that point the app will display the correct elevation to set using the built-in guide on the Anser housing, as well as clear pointing instructions.

The app also offers a Dealer Locator feature making it easy for customers to find a Carryout Anser nearby.

The Winegard Anser iPhone app is available free to download from the Apple® App Store and Google® Play.

Anser provides consumers with a simple satellite TV solution at a very affordable cost and is ideal for RVs, tailgating, picnicking, family outings and other outdoor activities. In today’s hyper-mobile world, consumers like to be entertained and in touch with their favorite sports teams and shows constantly. The Anser is highly portable and requires no assembly. Users simply set the elevation and plug it in. After the antenna automatically finds the satellite, unplug the antenna power cable and start watching TV.

Carryout Anser comes with an easy grip carrying handle and a security eyelet that is molded into the base. A 25 ft. 12 volt power cable and a 25 ft. coax cable are included for easy outdoor positioning. An optional 12 volt to 110 volt converter is available, as well as a Carryout tripod mount, sold separately.

The Anser is available at retailers and RV dealerships nationwide and has an MSRP of $449.00. As with all Winegard products, the Anser can be found at www.winegard.com with other antenna products made in the U.S.A.
