Winegard Introduces High Performance WiFi Extender for Residential Use

Oct 3rd 2019

The new Extreme powers multiple devices outside the home for easy access to the Internet

BURLINGTON, Iowa (Oct. 3, 2019) — Today Winegard, the leading manufacturer of high-performance, industrial connectivity products, launched the Winegard Extreme WiFi extender for use inside the home or outdoors, and captures WiFi signals from up to a half mile away. The extender comes with Winegard’s free Connected app for easy set up and daily use.

“No longer will homeowners have to feel trapped inside their home to use WiFi or have to buy multiple extenders to place around the home or yard,” said Robb Perrenoud, wireless product manager at Winegard. “The Extreme WiFi extender reaches outside the home to the pool, garage, shop, etc.”

The Extreme WiFi extender also eases the need for family members to rely on 4G LTE data that can drive up cellular phone bills quickly. It can perform seamlessly with 20 plus devices or more, unlike most off-the-shelf WiFi routers. In addition to enjoying high-speed access outside, users can be certain their information is secure due to its encrypted security protocol.

The compact device uses three amplified, omni-directional, high gain antennas that broadcast securely, farther than any main network router can reach. Extreme’s industrial housing is designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions such as wind, rain and snow giving users more choices for placement than other routers.
