Winegard Dealers Can Now Offer Their Customers Pay-As-You-Go Service and Easier Satellite Receiver Activation

BURLINGTON, IOWA – (Nov. 29, 2010) – WINEGARD COMPANY announced today that it has signed a national RV channel distributor agreement with DISH Network. With this agreement, Winegard dealers now have a one-stop source to service their mobile customer needs.

“This partnership allows Winegard dealers to provide their customers a complete solution — satellite antenna, satellite receiver and programming,” said Aaron Engberg, director of Mobile Products, Winegard Company. “In the past, customers would struggle getting a receiver and would then be left alone with the task of properly installing and activating it. With our new DISH Network partnership, mobile consumers can purchase the receiver from a Winegard dealer, and have it activated and professionally installed by trained technicians.”

RVers, campers, tailgaters and truckers have long desired seasonal or temporary service without having to pay for service for an entire year. The Pay-As-You-Go service is offered with the DISH Network ViP211k satellite receiver. Customers purchase the receiver and then pre-pay for 30 days programming. Customers can stop and start programming as needed.

“Now our customers can enjoy DISH Network programming in their RV, or at a campsite or favorite tailgate spot at the best value in the industry,” said Amir Ahmed, senior vice president of Sales for DISH Network.   “DISH Network’s agreement with Winegard allows us to provide seasonal customers with the ability to pay only for the months of service they actually use.”

The compact ViP211k is a single-tuner receiver compatible with DISH Network antennas, and works with both SD and HD televisions. DISH Network is also the only in-motion HD programming solution. The ViP211k is offered for $149 MSRP. Shipping options include direct to the dealer or to the consumer, if needed.
