Declaration of Conformity Opens Australian and New Zealand Markets for Winegard
BURLINGTON, Iowa – (March 11, 2013) – Winegard, a U.S. manufacturer of rugged VSAT (very small aperture terminal) satellite communications systems, has received C-Tick Certification for its WX1200 and WX980 VSAT antenna systems and controllers from the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
These VSAT systems are primarily deployed for remote oil and gas exploration locations, as well as on emergency, disaster recovery and satellite news gathering vehicles, tour buses and various types of trailers for maximum reliability in extreme environments.
The Australian C-Tick marking indicates the Winegard products are compliant with ACMA regulations for electric and electronic products sold in Australia and New Zealand. It means that the Winegard VSAT products comply with applicable electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements to protect the countries’ radiofrequency spectrum.
C-Tick is a trademark registered to the Australian Communications and Media Authority that provides a traceable link between the electronic devices and the supplier.
With this approval, these VSAT antennas now hold CE, GOST-R, Peru Homologation, Mexico Homologation and C-Tick certifications for international use.
Thousands of Winegard VSAT systems and controllers are operational worldwide, including the countries of Canada, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Germany, Columbia, Mexico and Russia.
