Antennas easily disassemble into cases that meet airline checked luggage requirements
BURLINGTON, Iowa – (March 12, 2012) – Staying connected has come to be expected in today's fast paced, high tech global market place. The new Winegard airline checkable 1.2m auto-acquire flyaway antennas meet the ever growing need of having a real-time broadband solution anywhere. Weighing less than 88 lbs. each, the cases meet airline checkable luggage requirements paving the way for ultra-portable 2-way communications at destinations that require airline travel.
The SFF120A and SPFx12A feature single-button operation without requiring an external PC. The Controller is rack-mountable, and the built-in DVB receiver and GPS makes the Winegard Two-Way Controller work on most platforms available in the industry including HughesNet™, iDirect, SpaceNet®, Comtech®, and Nera. Winegard offers the SPFx12A with a tripod mount and the SFF120 antenna comes with a case mount for easy deployment.
"At the end of the day, what makes this antenna so ideal is that it can be assembled and disassembled in just minutes – without tools." said Jon Manley Director of Engineering and Business Development at Winegard Company. "No more having to pay expensive freight costs to transport a large, bulky VSAT antenna. No more lengthy shipping lead times. No more going without communication. Now you can take it with you and stay connected, anywhere in the world."
