Temp & Humid Sensor
I travel with dogs in my RV and need a way to remotely monitor the inside temperature during warm weather. Since I already have a Winegard Connect WF2-95B running their Freedom Verizon plan, I thought the Winegard Temp & Humidity Sensor, paired with the RV Halo app, would be a convenient choice. However, I quickly realized it comes with additional costs. First, you must purchase a separate Bluetooth dongle that installs into the Winegard Connect device. Instead of using WiFi, the sensor connects via Bluetooth to access the internet. Second, to remotely monitor the sensor or receive notifications, you must use the Winegard Pro app, which requires a subscription. As of this review, the cost is around $9–$10 per month, depending on whether you pay monthly or annually. If you're using multiple Winegard sensors, the extra cost might be justifiable. However, for a single sensor, I found it unnecessary. There are plenty of other temperature sensors available at the same price or lower that connect via WiFi and don’t require a subscription. In the end, I returned the Winegard Temp & Humidity Sensor.
