Winegard donates Pathway X1 and Rayzar Automatic TV antennas for improved situational awareness and faster setup time at disaster sites

BURLINGTON, Iowa (March 24, 2015) — Winegard, a pioneer in antenna design and development, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center, a non-profit, public charity that provides communities with resources to continue operations and recover their technology infrastructure from disaster. Winegard’s Pathway X1 (pictured above) and Rayzar Automatic (not shown) antennas are outfitted on the ITRDC’s mobile technology units for enhanced situational awareness during disaster relief efforts.

"The relief and assistance that ITDRC provides to communities hit with disasters is a noble, worthwhile, and necessary cause, and we’re thrilled to be able to contribute to such a fantastic organization,” says Keith Larson, Aftermarket Sales Manager for Winegard. “Our expertly designed antennas are able to provide the ITDRC volunteers with situational updates along the way to a disaster site so they can be best prepared when they arrive for a fast, efficient setup."

The Pathway X1 is a 100 percent automatic, portable satellite TV antenna designed exclusively for DISH. It is able to receive high-definition signals for a clear picture anytime, anywhere. The Rayzar Automatic is a fully automatic HD TV antenna that quickly scans for all available local broadcast channels. The dual band antenna boasts state-of-the-art technology and an ultra-low noise amplifier for unmatched signal strength for better picture quality in even the harshest weather conditions.

"Winegard is a model practitioner of corporate social responsibility; they saw the opportunity to help, and immediately rolled up their sleeves to get our fleet outfitted with the latest satellite and local broadcast HDTV antennas," says Joe Hillis, Operations Director of ITDRC.
