Durable, Dependable Advanced Satellite Antenna Introducedat Winegard Company Booth 21139
BURLINGTON, Iowa – (August 24, 2011) – Off-duty truck drivers and team members can now enjoy the best television entertainment available with the introduction of Winegard Company’s durable and dependable DuraSAT® automatic satellite truck antenna< system. Winegard will have the DuraSAT antenna on display in booth 21139 at The Great American Trucking Show (GATS) being held at the Dallas Convention Center Aug. 25th – 27th.
One of the primary differentiators for the DuraSAT is its dependable ruggedness in the long-haul trucking environment where vibration and shock are an every mile occurrence. Its unique shock absorbent feet are the first in the industry to isolate the antenna components from highway conditions and were specifically designed to help the antenna withstand the harsh and rugged trucking environment.
It’s available in stationary and in-motion models, with a choice of a black or white dome covers. DuraSAT antennas are compatible with DISH Network® Pay-As-You-Go TV that allows truckers to prepay for 30 days of standard and/or HD programming at a time without any contracts or commitments. The antennas also receive standard DIRECTV® programming and standard and HD programming for Bell TV® in Canada.
“We tried all of the competitors for satellite TV antennas and settled on Winegard’s DuraSAT because of its durability, functionality and ease of installation,” said John ‘Woody’ Wood, general manager of Indiana Custom Trucks. “Winegard produces a product that functions well in the trucking business. We install three to four DuraSAT antennas per month. I give them top billing as far as satellite antennas go. They deliver a very good digital signal. The Winegard team bends over backwards when I need something and they’re deliveries are always on time.” Wood added that some 400 to 600 trucks a year go through the Indiana Custom Trucks service, conversion and production facilities.
“DuraSAT’s in-motion model is ideal for drivers who want to enjoy live television either while parked or for a passenger or off-duty team driver to enjoy their favorite programs while traveling down the road,” said Jim Flynn, regional manager for Winegard Company. “It’s especially nice for owner operators and fleets that are willing to invest in equipping their rigs with the latest television entertainment systems.”
The primary benefits of DuraSAT for drivers is that it does not require any setup, nor does it take up any valuable storage space; the in-motion model provides access to entertainment for off-duty individual or team drivers during their mandatory 10-hour rest periods even when the vehicle is moving; automatic operation means no need to exit the cab to aim the antenna; ease of use with one button on/off operation. And, the DuraSAT is backed by a two-year parts and one-year labor limited warranty.
