How Does TravelNet Work?

There are several reasons TravelNet works better/differently than an AirCard.

• Better antennas.
  The antennas we use are rugged high diversity antennas that are engineered to meet the needs of military and public safety applications. We use ML185 low loss coax, Motorola style NMO antenna mounts, with gold plated contacts for good electrical conductivity and low signal loss.



• 2 antennas instead of 1!
  We use 2 antennas for better connectivity, better overall Quality of Service, less fade and fewer dropped calls.



• Better radio.
  We use industrial rugged embedded linux platforms with industrial board mounted cellular modules from top manufacturers.



• Better design.
  TravelNet is designed for always on continuous duty environments i.e. atop mountain tops monitoring weather, security systems, remote monitoring of electrical substations, Point of Sale systems, lighting controls, meter reading, remote video monitoring and so on and customers with a need for more reliable mobile data services.
