Domed Units - DirecTV HD issues Date Modified: 04.17.09 Question: Back in early 2007 you helped me swap the satellite antenna that came on our RV with a Winegard RoadTrip SD. This has worked for us without fail. Can this RoadTrip SD be converted to an HD receiver? If so, what do I have to do. Tech Tip: The RoadTrip can not be made to work with DirecTV's HD package. Direct has used a completely different system to transmit their HD channels and NO Domed systems will receive them. If HD is a priority, I would suggest looking at our new TRAV'LER antenna or thinking about Dish Network.
