AP-4700 - Ok in the attic?
Date Modified: 02.12.09

Question:
I purchased a Winegard AP-4700 and I have a question. Can the DC transformer be plugged in; inside the attic, or should I extend a coax cable into the house where it's heated and air-conditioned? The outside temperature ranges from -15 to 104. I'm not sure because the transformer is marked 'indoor use only'. The attic is dry, the roof has two layers of asphalt shingles, and it's very unlikely that moisture would leak into the attic space. However, it's very hot in the summer.

Tech Tip:
You should be able to mount your power supply in the attic with no problem.
