CA-8800 - DC passive?
Date Modified: 02.07.09

Question:
I plan on using the Winegard CA-8800 to combine a UHF antenna and to filter a VHF antenna to pass FM only to a powered amplifier via the TV connector on the combiner. I'd like to confirm that a DC block isn't required between the amp and combiner.

Tech Tip:
The CA-8800 is AC/DC passive on the TV side. So if there is voltage on your line you will need a DC block at the CA-8800. Also terminate the unused TV connector on the CA-8800 with a 75 ohm terminator to prevent unnecessary loss.
