• Why the DTV Switch?

  • The June 12, 2009 switch to DTV broadcasting will enable television stations to offer crystal-clera pictures and sound, more channels and programming, interactive options and more... for FREE! The Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 requires that all television stations turn off their analog channels and broadcast exclusively in digital format. The switch to an all digital format will also free up valuable airwaves for future innovations and emergency responders.

At midnight on June 12, 2009, all full-power television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital broadcasting.
